Fun fact I learned this week: Dogs can choose to reincarnate and be your pet again. When you love each other, your souls are truly connected and reunited again and again.
We have all heard the expression ” dog is man’s best friend”. They are always here to love us unconditionally. Their hearts are so big that they actually miss us when we are gone! This blog is dedicated to Jesse, my 12 year old yellow lab. She is the best dog I’ve ever had and I know there are a lot of humans that have connected dog souls also. Life sure has changed in 12 years but we are always together. A best friend.
Dogs develop this great sense of trust. We’re tightly linked, and there is something spiritual about that unity. We are linked soul to soul. I also did a blog on the dog as your spirit animal!
Dogs raise your vibe…
When you make eye contact with your dog, both of your oxytocin levels go up, the same as when you pet them and play with them. It makes you both feel good and reinforces your bonding. Does your dog ever stare at you for no reason? They are just “hugging you” with their eyes. There are also more true human benefits to having a dog.
I have recently lost my yellow Lab, Jesse, and it was heartbreaking. She was the first dog I have ever had cremated. They also gave me a nose and paw print, that I framed by her ashes. See my blog on losing a dog. Dogs are so close to us that once they are gone, there is so much to be missed. I miss her following me around and greeting me the first thing when I get home. I miss her on our everyday walks. The connection is strong and dogs are just as connected to us as we are to them. Researchers have found that it’s much like a parent/ child bond. Which I wholeheartedly agree with.
Jesse has had Lab puppies and I am so grateful to think of the souls we’ve connected to the humans that took them home. I just loved having all the puppies around!
My soul connection…
A month after Jessie passed away, my daughter’s Silver Lab had puppies. Guess what…the first puppy born was a yellow female! I immediately claimed her and named her JJ, after Jesse. (I know it’s her and she just couldn’t wait to get back to us!) Out of 10 puppies, she was born first to make sure we knew it was her! So, here she is!
We tried calling her JJ but she seems to come to us better when we say “Jesse”! Go figure!
Welcome back Jesse!
Have you ever had a dog pass and your next dog has a lot of the same traits? hmmm…. I would love to hear about it! Comment below!
