I get so many dog lover questions about what dog toys are the best and what will last through tough chewers or dogs that are high energy. Here are the reviews and suggestions for the ones that are interactive for dogs and that won’t break the bank!

Busy Buddy Barnacle Dog Toy – Not only it is popular on Chewy (4.1 out of 5 stars), but I have heard dog trainers recommend this one. It comes in 4 sizes and is similar to the Kong but a little softer and the treats are harder to get out for your dog. The Treat Meter will randomly release one while your dog plays with it! It is made of three connected treat chamber balls that give an unpredictable bounce when tossed. It is great for interactive play between dog and human! Unlike other treat dispensing toys, this one keeps them busy longer.

JW Pet Hol-ee Roller Dog Toy- (4.2 out of 5 stars) The honeycomb style dog toy comes in 5 sizes and is made of natural, durable rubber; tough enough to provide countless hours of chew time. You can fill with tempting treats and turn the toy into a tasty puzzle for alone-time. Tough enough to withstand constant chewing, while being stretched and tugged. Help keep your dog active and healthy as this toy promotes exercise and activity. This product is also perfect for those dogs who tend to get bored easily. I have found JW dog toys very affordable also, most are under $10 at Chewy.

Kong Extreme Goodie Bone Dog Toy– (4.3 out of 5 stars) This toy comes in 2 sizes and is made from KONG Extreme ultra-durable rubber that is long-lasting and soft on your dog’s teeth and gums. You can stuff it with treats and it provides a mentally stimulating puzzle for power chewers. KONG products are known for lasting and are a little more pricey (under $20) than alternative options. You can even stuff the ends with peanut butter for even longer lasting interaction. I do that with our KONG wobbler dog toy, which we also love and withstands our energetic Labs!

ZippyPaws Burrow Squeaky Hide & Seek Plush Dog Toy, Log & Chipmunks – (4.6 rating) These type of toys are becoming more popular as dogs love to burrow their noses in the logs to find those squeaky little chipmunks! Although this one isn’t suited for those real aggressive chewers, I added it because of the great reviews. You can hide the chipmunks in the log for them to find and keeps them busy for hours. Great reviews from humans with medium to large dogs who just love it!
One of our favorite and effective ways to interact with our dogs… Chuckit!

Chuckit with a launcher– is the way to go for exercise! Under $10 at Chewy and the ball lasts a lot longer than a regular tennis ball. The launcher I love because I don’t have to pick up the slobbery ball with my hands. As you know we have 3 Labradors and a hound so daily fetch is a must! The chuckit ball has lasted months with their fetch and wrestling, where a regular tennis ball lasts about 1 day. Ha…Not kidding!
Fetch is a great way for your dogs to release energy and I highly recommend if your dog has a lot of it! Morning and Night! Rated 4.5 stars but I would rate 5 stars myself. Some dogs just don’t like fetch so it’s not for all dog breeds, but Lacy would go for hours if I let her. Playing fetch can help ease anxiety before leaving them home alone also.

Starmark Treat Dispensing Chew Ball Dog Toy – Extremely durable, and also a favorite at 4.4 out of 5 stars, the Treat Dispensing Chew Ball is ideal for feeding your dog his meals or retrieving! Win Win! Keeps them busy and encourages play which helps reduce anxiety and boredom behaviors. Helps foster natural hunting behaviors and it rolls, bounces & floats in water. Starmark Mental Stimulation toys help keep pets mentally engaged in an activity they really enjoy.
I hope you like these interactive dog toy ideas!

Great post! Keeping our doggos stimulated is really important in their overall health and well being. I love chewy as well. They have such amazing selection of dog products, especially toys. 🙂
My Frenchies love Busy Buddies toys. There is another style that looks like a jack and you can attach treats to it.
Some of these toys are the cutest things
The log with chipmunks is sooo cute. Too bad I don’t have a dog!
